The simple rule

Jewelry is the last thing on and the first thing off. If you remember nothing else, remember that.

What to avoid

• Water — chlorine, salt water, and even tap water shorten the life of plated finishes. No showers, no swims, no dishes.
• Perfume, lotion, hairspray, sunscreen — apply these first, let them dry completely, then put on your Dilemma.
• Sweat — remove before working out, hot yoga, or any activity that involves a lot of moisture.
• Sleep — friction against pillows wears finishes down faster than any single thing.
• Cleaning chemicals — bleach, ammonia, anything in a spray bottle. Remove before household tasks.

How to clean it

A soft, dry, lint-free cloth is all you need. Wipe each piece gently between wears to remove any skin oils. If something more is needed: a barely-damp cloth, then dry immediately. Never use jewelry dips, ultrasonic cleaners, or polish chemicals on enamel — they will damage the finish and the color.

How to store it

Each Dilemma arrives in a signature box with a soft pouch. Keep your pieces in the pouch when not being worn — it prevents scratching and slows tarnish caused by air exposure. Store cool, dry, and out of direct sunlight. Don't pile multiple pieces in the same compartment without separation.

If a piece looks dull

For travel

Pack your Dilemma in the original pouch inside the original box. Don't toss it loose in a toiletry bag. If you're traveling somewhere humid (the tropics, summer in the South), bring a small silica gel packet and store everything together.
